SCT founder special guest at anniversary event
November 26, 2019

SCT is marking three years of operations at its Logic Wodonga site with a special industry event.
Fonder and Executive Chairman of the SCT board Peter Smith, pictured right, will be the special guest at the event which will include representatives from the Australian Rail Track Corporation, major manufactures and local industry representatives.
The event will conclude a personal interview with the SCT founder in which Peter will share how he has managed the SCT business as a father, mentor and boss.
A man of action rather than words, Peter's vision for SCT has seen it grow into Australia's largest privately owned rail company.
A rail terminal was a key pillar of the plan for Logic and the sale of the land to SCT in 2015 was the realisation of a vision 12 years in the making.
On September 26, 2016, SCT group ran the special service to Barnawartha to be wagon ready to start up on October 3, 2016.
Fast forward three years and the Barnawartha terminal is through putting 2000 tonne and 58 wagons interstate per week as well as 80 import or export containers and running four services a week.
The SCT-hosted event is on Thursday, November 28 from 4pm at Huon Hill tavern including 2-3 pm a site tour of SCT's Barnawartha terminal.
